Area Rug Pad Care
Rug pads require relatively little care. We have outlined a few things that can be done to prolong the life of your rug pad.
Quick spot cleaning guide For a sudden spill or stain, blot the area first with a wet sponge. Immediately blot again with dry paper towel or cotton towel. Please keep in mind that the wet area may look dark until it dries. Once dry, if you still notice a stain, try some liquid detergent and water solution with a soft scrub brush.
Rotation Like with area rugs, rug pads should be rotated about once a year. It is almost inevitable that a portion of a rug and pad are walked on more than another area and rotating the rug and pad will prevent any excessive wear.
Vacuuming When you life up your rug, it is a good idea to check your rug pad and vacuum any dust that may have gone through the rug. If possible, perhaps once a year with rotation, it is a good idea to vacuum the floor under the rug pad as well.
