Rug on Carpet Pads
A common problem for rugs that are on top of carpet is that the rugs tend to wrinkle and buckle. This may create premature wear to your area rug, creates a trip hazard for walking and does not create a pleasant look in the room. There are a few quality rug pads that truly work to keep rugs on carpet flat and wrinkle free.
We have seen and tested those paper thin, sticky white pads that claim to be the solution to hold rugs down on carpet. Well, this type of rug pad does not work as well as we would like. It is too thin and light to make a big difference and it will not resist any furniture if there is any weight on the rug.

Perhaps one of the best non slip rug pads for rugs on carpet is the No-Muv rug on carpet pad. This rug pad carries a U.S. patent and is only for use for rugs on carpet. We have tested it under room size rugs, scatter size rugs and runners on carpet and it has passed every test. We have also placed heavy furniture on the rug that is on carpet and No-Muv resists the weight and still keeps the rug flat. No-Muv is manufactured in the USA and is approximately 1/4 of an inch thick and does not seem to lift rugs much off the carpet.

Ultra Premium Reversible Non Slip Rug Pad
With a combination jute and rubber material, Ultra Premium also passed our tests for a rug pad under rugs on carpet. This is a reversible rug pad and works for rugs on hard floors as well as for rugs on carpet. When on carpet, use the rubber side up to grab the area rug.
